Fly does not disable #1

As a de-op'd player I can fly at any time.
Using console to type "/fly Brantique" it tells me fly has been disabled and I fall to the ground.
I can simply double-jump again to keep flying.

It always tells me fly is disabled, never enabled.

I'm using Purpur 1.20.1-2062 on a hosted server
I don't believe any of the other plugins I'm using would effect this plugin's function so I won't boter listing them unless asked.

If you want me to I can throw the plugin on a 1.20.2 test server to see if it's a version problem.

Nevermind, I found another plugin to do this.

Hi, while I understand you have found a replacement I would ask that you do not close this issue as a result.
I'm going to look into this now as it sounds like a serious oversight may have occured with permission handling

I've just ran some tests and I cannot reproduce this issue.

Console of log

As can be seen above I've attempted it in all states

If you would like to provide a list of plugins you were using I can look into why your described experience was occuring: however as of now I am going to mark this as user error.

There was no errors in the console when I was using it. It just didn't respect the disabled status.

I was using only this plugin on a fresh Purpur 1.20.2 set up.
Let me get the plugin again and test again. I'll try to get a video.

I finally got around to being able to run the tests again.

Did you run your test on hosted purpur?
It works on my dev server with just Luckperms and Fly...
But not on my live server with other plugins.

I will clone my live server to my dev and eliminate plugins until it works.

I don't understand this.

It works on a "clone" of my live server - same server jar, plugin list, and config files as the live server.

But it does NOT work on my live server.

I will contact my hot's support and see if there is anything different about the two set ups.

I'm even more confused now...

After fighting with my computer for twelve hours yesterday, because my OS (Windows) decided it wasn't going to acknowledge that I had internet.
I could browse the internet and use Discord, but Minecraft launcher, Microsoft Store, and the help and support suggested links all said they needed internet.
It magically fixed it self at 3:00 am...

Now this morning, I double checked to see if the problem still persisted, and it did - It worked on the 'clone' but not on the real thing.
Went to talk to my host's support, and while they were watching, it worked on the lite server as expected.

Nothing was changed between my test and the support observing. It's like Todd Howard was there...

This must be how my computer illiterate sister feels when something doesn't work for her, but then it does when I'm looking.
